United Rugby was established in 2005 as the product of the merger of two established clubs, Douglas and Pocomo RFC. United seeks to provide an unequivocal choice for all rugby players in the Tri-Cities and New Westminster by providing comprehensive and dynamics programs for men and woman of all ages and abilities.

From the Pocomo side of things:

Over forty years ago a group of enthusiast led by Gordon Eddy and Jack Cole met at the Port Arms Hotel decided to establish a rugby club outside of the traditional Vancouver area. The idea was to foster the development of the game in the Port Moody, Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam; thus the creation of the Pocomo Rugby Club.

CANADIAN CANCER SOCIETY

Since many members of United Rugby have been directly affected by cancer, the majority of our charitable work has been directed at raising money for the Canadian Cancer Society.  2006 was another year was United Rugby had multiple members lose loved ones to cancer.  Below is what we have done to help the Canadian Cancer Society find a cure for this disease.
