Tours 2027

During spring break, we plan on taking our Junior teams on tour.

The Boys Rugby Tour to the Bay Area of California.  Dates are TBA but we are aiming for seven days within the window of March 19-29 (second week of Spring Break). Players will not miss any school days.

We will play two matches vs Bay Area clubs. There will be two practice sessions with top ten NCAA ranked rugby sides - University of California Berkeley and St. Mary's College. 

We will be visiting Bay Area attractions such as Fisherman's Wharf, Alcatraz, Ghirardelli Chocolate Experience, and the Golden Gate Bridge.

To join the tour, you need to e-transfer $200 to treasurer@unitedrguby.ca.  This deposit is refundable at this point as we are still gauging interest and number of players to attend this event.  The cutoff date to place a deposit is September 15. 

We expect the cost of this tour to be in the $2500-$3000 range which would include: flights, accommodations, transportation, tour kit, and entrance tickets to tourist destinations.

The Girls will be teaming up with Chilliwack rugby for a UK tour (estimated cost is $4000-$5000).  More details

 The plan is to play various teams and having the experience of a lifetime. 

All players on the U16 or U18 teams in the fall of 2026 are eligible to come with us on tour, but space is limited.  To ensure you have a spot on one of these tours you need to e-transfer $200 to treasurer@unitedrguby.ca.  This deposit is refundable at this point as we are still gauging interest and number of players to attend this event.  

This is an opportunity for our youth to immerse themselves in rugby culture, play rugby with local youth, and gain a broader perspective of the world, fostering tolerance, understanding, and an appreciation for cultural diversity..  Spending time together fosters camaraderie and teamwork. They learn to rely on each other both on and off the field, strengthening team cohesion and unity.
